Bio

Michael Fox is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Sacramento, California. His work is rooted in narrative-driven songwriting, pairing a distinctive vocal delivery with guitar- and keyboard-based arrangements that emphasize melody, harmony, and emotional clarity.

For many years, Fox served as lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the Northern California rock band Sedona, which developed a dedicated following throughout Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay Area, and surrounding regions. The band became known for strong musicianship and layered vocal harmonies, often built around intricate four-part arrangements that supported story-centered songs.

Over the course of his career, Fox has appeared on bills alongside influential artists including Fleetwood Mac, Heart, and Foreigner, gaining experience on professional stages while refining a songwriting-first approach to performance.

He is currently focused on a solo project that allows greater range in both subject matter and musical form. His recent work has drawn attention from industry professionals for its emotional honesty and compositional craft. Chris Oglesby, Senior Vice President of Creative at BMG, observes:

“Michael’s message is something we need to be hearing, set in a musical package that’s very compelling.”

Through his solo work, Fox continues to treat songwriting as the foundation—using music not as spectacle, but as a means of connection, reflection, and shared experience.
